Steps to Intallation |
| 1.
Measure all trough lengths. Deduct 4 " (10 cm) for inside
corners. Assemble each trough on the ground
to its full length. To join 2 lengths together cut top
part of one length slide into the other, POP rivet
or screw and caulk. |
| 2.
Snap in hangers every 2 feet
(60 cm) and at every joint. Cut hole for outlet by using
outlet as template. Caulk under
flange and press into hole. POP rivet or screw and caulk.
Install end caps, crimp with
pliers and seal with caulk along the inside.
|
| 3.
Install trough starting with
the end opposite the outlet and hang as high as possible
on the fascia. Attach every
3rd or 4th hanger. Allow a 1" (2.5 cm)drop for every
40 ft.(12 m) When trough is secure fasten
remaining hangers and tighten all screws. |
| 4.
If corners are required, slide corners into place in
the same manner as joining tow length of trough together.
Allow 2" (5 cm)overlap, and secure with POP rivets or
screws and caulk. |
| 5.
Select elbows for downspouts. Type A elbows are used
when going flat against the face wall of the house
on the same side as trough. Type B elbows are used when
going down side wall of house. |
| 6.
Assemble downspouts as shown.
Top pieces should fit into lower pieces to prevent leaks.
Secure with POP rivets or screws. |
| 7.
Attach elbow to downspout as shown. Add a short length
of downspout to take water away from house.
|
| 8.
Secure top of elbow to outlet.
Install caps with screws. |
